Born and raised in Fuzhou, Fujian with his mother before moving to Dongba, Beijing when he was 7 with his adopted younger brother. He had a natural gift for music and had taken multiple music lessons as a child. J.G was beaten a lot by his father and would always be told that he didn't have the talent to become an idol no matter how much he tried. When he was around 14 years old, he had moved to Tokyo with a person he knew from school to become an idol there and achieve his goals. A fact that very people knoww about him is that he is completely blind in his right eye and often hides in behind his bang or under an eye patch. He has two Akita puppies name Major and Marshel and a Yorkshire Terrior named Princess.

After becomeing an idol, J.G became much colder and slightly ruder than normal and never told anyone why he had acted like that mainly because it was just an image he wanted to do. He had left the group 4 years later because of all the rumours that had surrounded him had became much worse. He can't read that well due to the fact that he can't use his right eye but refuses to get it fixed mainly because he doesn't like doctors and has many run ins with the hospital over the years. About a month after he had left Envy and LUST Entertainment, he had begun to audition for many different companies across Japan but to his avail, was having no luck in getting into any because of the rumors that had surrounded him. He had moved to South Korea to see if he could get into a company but failed many times to find a company that would take him until he was contacted and found out about Alpha Entertainment from his younger brother. He had auditioned for the company but had failed 3 times before finally getting in on his fourth try. J.G usually acts older then people his age and rarely lets his guard down in front of people.
