[[OOC:

  • Don't trust the online sign.
  • I write slowly. I usually take several days to reply. I do have a tracker so I don't lose threads, but if I take longer than a week to reply feel free to kick me.
  • I prefer to keep walls for planning, and I prefer to plan scenes out, at least briefly.
  • That being said, if you post a random starter on my wall, I will reply. It's just a matter of time - these will likely be lower on my priority list.
  • I'm primarily a novella writer, but this depends on the thread and my muse. 3rd person para is preferred, but I'll match whatever style you write with.
  • I'll only ask to plot if you have a profile up. You are free to ask me to plot, but please give me some background of your character to work with.]]
Description

Name: Kim Jongdae
Age: 19
Bio: Jongdae is a student that comes from a relatively poor background, but he doesn't have charity case status in the school. His parents work their asses off to give him the best education that they can, and so he repays them by doing the absolute best he can in school. He qualifies for minor scholarships and has a part-time job to help his family out, but the bulk of their earnings goes to his schooling.

As a result of his background, Jongdae tries not to attract attention in school. He doesn't want bullies extorting him for money, doesn't want to get kicked out for fighting against bullies either. He'll take everything the school can give him, but he'll do it as quietly as he can. Every time he wants to act out, he thinks of how much more good he can do as a lawyer, and he backs down immediately. Long term goals take precedence over short-term impulses, and Jongdae refuses to sacrifice his future.

Not at the top of his class but close, Jongdae is generally friendly and helpful with his classmates, but surprisingly tight-lipped when it comes to himself. He's great at keeping secrets, and is always willing to lend an ear, but ask him to take action and he'll find a way to let you down easy. If you watch closely, you'll notice he takes care of his things, with a caution only the poor have.

(But don't be fooled; once he's off the plane, Jongdae is determined to get home alive. He won't stand for bullies, only kept his head down because he had to; if he sees injustice in the wild, where he doesn't have to answer to teachers, he will act. And he has a lot of pent up rage waiting to be let out.)

Relationships:

  • Hyeri: She knows he's working outside of school
  • Jeonghan: Jongdae's parents once worked in his household, and Jongdae became a childhood friend. They lost contact when Jongdae's parents were fired, and when they met again in high school, they didn't recognize each other.
