Cameron remembered the day he was adopted. He was scared, although he didn’t know why. But he guessed any five year old would be scared.

He was almost six when he met the Richardsons for the first time. He was staying with a very nice family, in a very packed house, in a not so picturesque suburb in Seoul.

After his adoption Cameron closed that door, the door on his past. Everything became impressing the Richardsons, fitting in, and making sure they never sent him back. He eventually learned that they wouldn’t send him back and that was a nice feeling. It was nice to have a father and a mother who cared, who loved him. He didn’t start wanting to reopen those doors until he was sixteen. People who didn’t know the family very well always assumed that Cameron was biological. They always said how much he looked like his dad. In reality he looked more like his mom, his biological mother. At sixteen he became more curious about them, the memories of how badly his life was before the Richardsons not really registering. He never got farther than thinking about it though, something always holding him back from finding out more.

Cameron was popular throughout most of his schooling. He was charismatic and charming and everyone loved him. He was the funny guy, the football player, he joined clubs and was president his senior year. But he never really let anyone in. He loved being a Richardson, but he wasn’t really one of them. He loved his family, but he always wondered how much of that love extended back to him. You could never really know someone unless you could read their mind.

After college, Cameron wondered what to do and instead of chasing his dreams, he traveled to the States for one year to relax and find out about life's purpose before he came back to Seoul, and got hired as a bouncer.
