Hello there you beautiful and lovely people!
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to update as often as it should be, busy admin is busy TT.TT
Anyway, lets get down to the main point of this announcement: the goodies that came with the revamp!!
I attempted to incorporate as many things as you guys mentioned in the revamp forms, so many of you will notice your ideas. There was also other very good ones that will also find it's way here within the next round of events, so don't fret~ all your ideas were wonderful and very appreciated. So let's get to the things that you can now find within our roleplay!
-Scavenger Hunt Game: This game will involve everyone coming together to discuss three clues I have put up in the Scavenger Hunt Room. The point of the game is to, together as a team, figure out a hidden identy of a kpop idol while creating friendships along the way. Prizes will be given to those who guess right.There are more rules to the game, so head on over to that room and get to playing~
-Cutest Photo Contest: For this contest, both babies and daddies can particpate! Simply go the the Cutest Photo Contest room and post the url of the picture you'd like to use of your character for this competition. After a week or so, the chance to submit will be closed only to be replaced with a link that will direct you to a ballot with the names of everyone who participated. The link will be open for everyone of our wonderful family to choose the baby they deem cutest, same with choosing the cutest daddy. There will be prizes at the end as well!
-Lotte World: Come here to spend the day with your family and friends! There's plenty of things to do at Lotte World, from playing on the rides, exploring the museum, checking out the sporting activities, watching a movie, and much more!
-Fall Carnival: Many of you loved the idea of seasonal events, and fall is just around the corner! In order to celebrate, we now have a Fall Carnival with a couple games for you to play with your family or with your friends~ There's also special prizes that can be won only at the carnival with the carnival points, so please do stop by to play! ^^
-Crossdressing Pagent: For this event, there will be two categories - one for the babies, and one for the daddies. The rules are very similar to the Cutest Photo Contest, except because it is a pagent, there's a little bit more to the application form. To be invovled in this cute and fun contest, please head on over to the Crossdressing Pagent room to read the full set of rules and begin having fun~ Prizes will be awarded to participants as well ^^
-Baby and Daddy of the Week: For this feature, anyone in the roleplay can send a pm to an admin nominating someone as daddy and/or baby of the week. Simply tell us a brief reason why, and then admins will get together to choose a baby and daddy of the week. These two lucky people will be shown on the main page under the description and will remain there for an entire week until new individuals are choosen. Results will be announced on Fridays and it will be mentioned in the OOC room when updated.
-New rule about families with two babies: This was also brought to my attention in the revamp forms. I'm sorry the admins can't do a better job at controling this, but hopefully this new rule will help the situation a bit. For daddies with two babies, if a complaint is given to an admin by one of your sons about neglect, a warning will be given the first time with a consequence, a fine concerning a deduction in your points. If a second complaing is given, it will result in an immediate revoked adoption between that son and you. Please love everyone equally so everyone is happy and none of this has to ever happen! ^^
-Roleplaying in rooms encouraged: Everyone loves to see an active roleplay. But we can't quite reach that if all we do is stick to roleplaying on the walls T.T So here's a solution! Every room that's open for roleplaying will have a point value given to them. If you are seen roleplaying in them, you will win that point value whenever an admin comes around to update ^^ Also, don't be discouraged if someone else is already roleplaying in that room, go ahead and roleplay in there! Rooms are big enough for more than two people to talk in them ^^
-Truth or Dare Game Room: The ever famous Truth or Dare Game! Many of requested it, so here it is ^^ There's an innocent version for those who just want to have fun and a version for those who feel a little risky. Both can be found on the same page, so I hope you go and enjoy it ;)
-New rule about unused houses: A few mentioned that in the previous rp, there were many homes that weren't even being used, making the roleplay cluttered. I agree in that sense, which is why we've reorganized how homes are established. Now, you still must have a home before you can adopt a baby, but you must buy it in order to have - it's no longer free. There's plenty of options in the Living Spaces Room to choose from with different price ranges. The new rule however is that if an admin notices that you aren't using the room, we will now first send you a warning, and if it happens a second time, we can delete the home. This is just to, again, promote posting in the rooms over the walls, and to also try to keep this rp as decluttered as possible (and as active as possible!) ^^
-Mandatory play dates:This new feature will ensure that we have people in the roleplay feeling welcomed and making friendships and the whole shebang. How will we do this? Making it mandatory. Everyone in the roleplay will have to attend the playdate, don't worry we will announce on which specific date that will take place, in a specific room every month to keep things fresh. The play dates will last for a day so that you guys have plenty of time to mingle with people and have fun together. If you see the date and know you won't be able to make it, please let one of the admins know so that you pass the play date check^^
-Jobs *THIS IS A BIGGIE*: Many of you also requested that this place seem a bit more realistic, so we've decided to add jobs into the roleplay! This is how it'll go down (saying this makes me feel like I'm about to go rob a bank or something XD): There will be two options for jobs - common jobs and family business jobs. Both of them will supply a 'salary' every week, specifically on Fridays. There will be more common jobs available and you'll see why once I explain. Common jobs will be offered in different rooms of the roleplay, and the way to apply for them will be to send an admin a little post either through wall or pm with all the information the application form entails. Here are the rules for the common jobs - it will only be for daddies or babies at least 16 years old with permission from their daddies. For these jobs, the admins will be the employers, which means they are able to reject applications if you don't seem suitable enough for the job (this includes babies too, even with permissions from their appas). There are spaces limited for each room so that things don't get out of hand.
Now onto the familiy business jobs. These are exactly what they sounds like. They'll be handled a bit similar to common jobs in the sense that a salary will be given every Friday, yet here are the differences: Only daddies will be able to request to start their own business (you can request it by sending admin Taemin a pm explaining why you want your own work place, then I'll get you hooked up on everything you need ;) hehe~), this request will come with a cost - 5000 points. Why so expensive? Many of you wanted jobs and this kind of stuff so that it would give a more realistic feel to the rp - having your own business is expensive as crap (I'm talking from experience here people, your main admin has been stuck in a family owned business for over 10 years TT.TT) Now the quirks to having your own business: You get your own room added onto the roleplay, get to select the decoration, get to set how many employees you wish to have, get to set the salary you wish to receive, and the salaries you wish your employees to earn (please remember to keep it realstic =.= Also, if you're worrying about if the employees salary will come from your paycheck, don't fret. The admins will pay out as if they were all separate and we are the big bank mwahahaha!) People wishing to be employeed in your business will now send you their application forms, so all you have to do is send a little blurb to an admin about who've you hired so we can officially paste their name in your room XD
Here's how the admins will ensure activity in the rooms with the jobs - you will not be able to just apply for the jobs, sit back, and expect to receive a paycheck every week. No. If you apply for a job you will have to 'work', meaning you will have to roleplay in that specific room. Admins will make rounds and if we see that you've been roleplaying in the specific room that you are employeed at, you get that lovely paycheck! If you don't, admins can fire you (or, in the case of family owned businesses, the owner of that business).
Also as an added note, in the bullet above talking about point values in rooms, this will come into a nice play when a baby is roleplaying with an employee at their specific work place (we didn't want it to be like ' oh, the older character with the job gets a paycheck, but a young baby gets nothing even when particapating in the roleplay' - so this is where the point value of the room will benefit the baby by rewarding them for keeping the rooms active). That being said, the empolyee will not receive a paycheek and a point value reward for roleplaying in their work place room - they will only receive their paycheek (because then it would be way too many points given out, and too unfair. Besdies, paychecks give out more points XD)
I know this was a lot to throw at you guys, but please do NOT hestiate to ask an admin anything if you're confused at all or have a question. We are a team and we're here to make sure this place is a family and enjoyable ^^ Also with that being said, I wanted to introduce you guys officially to the Admin Team! P.S: This part of the announcement is not mandatory to read. I wanted to inform you guys of what is happening in your main admin's life >< So for those of you who don't know, I am a university student going into my second year. The reason why I haven't really been able to update much these past few days is that beside planning things for this revamp, I've also been trying to move into an apartment near my university (my school is three hours away from my hometown T.T), and also because I've been preparing for classes. School begins this week..meaning your Taeminnie may be a little slow in replying/updating since I'll mainly be doing it in between classes and assignments on mobile, but I love this place too much to officially declare a hiatus ^^ I wanted to thank you guys for understanding, and for those starting school soon......WE CAN TOTALLY ROCK THE SOCKS OFF THIS SCHOOL YEAR!! XD HWAITING EVERYONE!
