THE B♂YFRIEND FACTORY
Hello, this is admins Kai and Sehun speaking. For the roleplayers that have followed the conversations in the OOC room between the admins might or might not have noticed that there have been hints shattered around at upcoming changes for the roleplay. Ones that we will list and elaborate on in this announcement. However, we will also include the basic rules (or the so called B♂YFRIEND FACTORY 101 by admin Sehun) to refresh everyone’s memory on our beloved system. Therefore us admins ask each and every one of you to read the points addressed in this announcement carefully before propounding any of your questions or concerns to either of the online administrators. Again, there will be no bolding or usage of specific fonts because we’d like you to read everything thoroughly. Don’t forget to comment after you have read this announcement.
#1 PARA ROLEPLAYING
Each post has to contain at least 100 words at its minimum. This rule applies to all roleplay rooms as well as wall posts. As far as OOC posting goes along with your paragraph, the conversation must be written within brackets and will not be included into the actual word counting.
#2 MULTIPLE CHARACTERS
Having two characters is now allowed in this roleplay, the only exception being to keep them both active and the characters being a customer and a doll. Having two machines or buyers is not possible as there should still be an equal amount of space available for new roleplayers who want to roleplay solely with one character.
#3 ROLE PLAYING AS A MACHINERY
Machines cannot roleplay when inactivated. This meaning whenever you have no one who has physically bought you from the factory, you are unable to move an inch. Admins notify you at the end of your contract, this also being the indication for all of your current roleplays to cease. (The only exception being the Factory Events, which can be continued if both parties agree on doing so.) Dolls are also not allowed to roleplay in PM when unactivated. However, while being ownerless, you are encouraged to OOC-LY talk to and bribe potential buyers into purchasing you from the factory. While waiting for a new owner, you may enter the Factory Event to get a chance of role playing while you wait. There are no limits as to how often you can enter this event, so you may reapply whenever. When activated, you may roleplay with two other humans or activated dolls at a maximum. Your owner should always be your first priority over every other role playing partner.
#4 ROLE PLAYING AS A CUSTOMER
Humans are not allowed to roleplay with an inactivated doll. To purchase a machine, a post in the catalog is necessary. Posts that fail to obey the 100+ words rule will be deleted almost immediately. Please note the doll’s orientation as well as availability before picking up the machine of your choice. If a machine fails to reply to your wall posts and/or starter paragraph, you have the option to return the doll to the factory. Simply post the restitution of your purchase in the catalog due to whatever malfunction you can think of. Customers are not allowed to purchase two dolls at the same time, but are allowed to have two machines, simply by buying one and ‘stealing’ another person’s doll (by kissing the android on the lips and thus resetting his system). We admins expect to see more people making use of this opportunity. This opens up more possibilities of your doll being stolen, and thus more drama. Refer to announcement 1.0.
#5 CONTRACTS AND PURCHASES
Contract terms now have a duration of 10 days. You may extend your contract another two times if you wish to do so, but make sure to post in the catalog and demand an extension before your current contract has ended. Us admins usually update around midnight KST (Korean Standard Time). Points will be deducted at the end of each term so remember to participate in either the lottery or post to your hearts content to be able to extend your contract. Times are tough for the sale charts of the factory and with the decreasing amount of purchases the CEO has validated the need of higher expenses for the quality and excellent customer service the boyfriend factory provides. See the new prices for our machinery as of october 2167 below:
Day 01 - 10: 500 points
Day 11 - 20: 1000 points
Day 21 - 30: 2000 points
As for Infinite purchases, they are possible whenever a contract has been extended twice and both owner and doll give their consent to head admin Kai or Sehun. Please respect our refusal of the offer when the circumstances deem this to be impossible. Admins may contemplate the suggestion on another point of time whenever the doll:buyer ratio is fairly equal. It is possible to purchase a doll several times, however, as soon as a machine is returned to the factory he will be resetted and no trace of previous activities will remain in its system.
#6 EARNING POINTS
Machines are not in need of points as they are used to make a purchase from the factory in this roleplay. Points are solely useful to customers. There are two ways to earn points. One is by role playing in the rooms, two is by participating in the daily lottery. Please make sure to read the rules in the lottery room before entering to prevent penalties (in form of 500 points being deducted).
#7 HIATUSES AND INACTIVITY
Inactivity will be shown within 10 days, fail to reply within the given time and you will be removed from the roleplay. To prevent removal during busy schedules, leave a note in the comment section of the roleplay stating your absence for a certain amount of time. Unless you have a specific reason, we are not allowing hiatuses that last longer than a month as we want to prevent people from hoarding popular roleplaying characters. Please notify an administrator once you return from your hiatus. When a month has passed an admin will send you a wall post. Failure to respond will result in direct removal from the master list.
In case of a short term hiatus (less than 10 days), please DO NOT ask for a hiatus. There is no reason to do so, as no inactivity sign will appear. However, if your contract is still ongoing, you have two options: continuing the roleplay (if your partner is willing to wait) or ending the roleplay. In case the roleplay is ended because of the buyer’s hiatus, only half of the points will be deducted from the buyer’s account. If it ends because of a doll’s hiatus, no points will be deducted. If both have decided to continue their roleplaying later, your contract will be paused and re-opened upon either of the roleplayer’s return. Please make sure to notify an admin whether or not you need your roleplay to be temporarily paused. An admin will post in your room to freeze your roleplay and upon request it will be unfrozen again later, so you can continue. Customers on hiatus will NOT gain any points when participating in the lottery.
