The elves are the oldest race in this realm. A long, long time ago the elves were born from nature itself. They are her children and share a special connection with her. Woe to you if you harm her more than you need to to survive.

Relations with the other races
(This is just a general guideline, your character's personal opinion on the other races can be different!)

The elves are quite fond of the anima, but don't treat them as equals. Legend says that a millenia ago a lonely elf begged mother nature to create more companions. Hearing his wish, she created the anima for him. To the elves, the anima are humanoid animals who are a bit more intelligent than a normal animal. It isn't rare for elves to treat anima as children or pets.

Their relationship with the damned is a little less friendly. As long as the damned do not act out and harm their realm, the elves remain peaceful. They do not dislike the damned, but they are wary of them and prefer to keep watch over them from a distance. After all, the damned are intruders in their land.

Positions

When the first damned appeared, the elves took it upon themselves to become the guardians of nature and protect this realm. The livelihood of an elf is their position. Here is a list of the positions you can apply for:

♠ Council : 0/6 : Head of the elves, the decision-makers.
♠ Healer : Heals the elf warriors as well as nature.
♠ Warrior : Protects the balance of nature with force, charged with fighting anything that threatens it.
♠ Guard : Guards the spirit tree and will not let any non-elf approach it.
♠ Watcher : Scattered throughout the realm, tasked with alerting the council of any significant changes in flora & fauna, as well as keep an eye on the damned.
♠ Priest : Religious leaders of the elves and the most knowledgable. They record the history of this realm.

Powers

The elves' racial abilities are their empathic link to nature and their telepathic link to each other. Apart from that, the elves' powers are focused around the five elements. Water. Fire. Earth. Air. Spirit. The last element is quite rare among elves and those who have it usually become priests.

Religion

Unlike the damned and the anima, the elves are very spiritual beings. They worship the spirit tree. However, this is more than just a belief system. All elves have a telepathic link with the spirit tree, and therefore with each other. The spirit tree's roots extend to all the plants in this realm, connecting elves to the nature around them on an empathic level. The elves can quite literally feel mother nature.
