The Very First Announcement From Lord Death

All at once, every television, monitor, and device in and around the academy flickers to life; Death’s logo spinning on the screen to indicate an incoming message. For a few seconds, a cheerful tune plays over the picture while a countdown begins in the lower left corner. The symbol fades and a live image of Death appears in its place as the faint hum from the speakers whirring to life fills the space.

“H-hello? Is this thing on? Okay!

Wazzup wazzup wazzup everyone! Thank you all for coming and welcome to the DWMA! I hope you're all getting comfortable here and settling in nicely. Remember to let the designated staff here know if you guys have any questions or worries! I hope you all will strive to become the best meisters and weapons you can be and...maybe provide me with a Death Scythe or two? Just a thoughtttt.

Anyway, down to some important stuff. When you all applied here, you were asked whether or not you would like to be given a partner or if you had one of your own. If you already have one, then this probably doesn’t apply to you but it must be said anyway so bare with me. If you are still in search of a partner then you should know that pairings will start being posted on Monday with reminders for those who wish to be included coming every Wednesday and Saturday. Now, once you have your partner, please remember to speak to them so you can start building that camaraderie and feel free to look at the missions we have available for you guys! Don’t forget to talk to those who aren’t your partner as well because there may come a time when you need to work together to defeat stronger opponents.

And now for some reminders! Please take a look at our lovely brochure, newsletter, and other delightful features we've got here at the DWMA. Also, as I said before, reminders about pairings will be given to those who are unpaired every Wednesday and Saturday! Other than that, remember to have some fun while you're here! Death out!”

The mics cut off and the screens freeze on the blurry image of Death exiting out of the left side of the frame. It remains a few seconds longer before every device returns back to its normal state and those within the DWMA can return to their activities.
