Okay so I’m a ho for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody that came out last year, and I love bands (or boy groups)... I mean for crying out loud I got a whole BTS album for my birthday one year. The band Queen is very near and dear to my heart... I pretty much grew up on the songs Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust, We Will Rock You and their other song We Are The Champions. They’re legends... and they’re a band.
See where I’m going with this?
Its not just Queen and BTS that I love as bands or music groups... there’s *NSYNC, Blondie, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Nirvana, Jefferson Airplane, AOA, SNSD, NCT, ATEEZ, TVXQ/DBSK, Spice Girls, (dare I even mention them but...) One Direction, The Jonas Brothers, Paramore, TLC, En Vogue, The Bangles, Perfume (jpop group), Maximum The Hormone, Big Brother and The Holding Company (that was the group that had the late Janis Joplin in it), Fleetwood Mac, The Human League, Spin Doctors, The freaking BEATLES for gosh sake!
After naming as many bands/music groups that I can think of off of the top of my head tell me this... why hasn’t there ever been a BATTLE OF THE BANDS RP ON THIS SITE? I’m not talking about any of that bubblegum kpop entertainment industry rp type stuff either, (I don’t despise those types of roleplays at all I’m just making a point). And when I say BATTLE OF THE BANDS, I mean battle of ANY BAND that you could think of... or FANMADE BANDS THAT YOU MAKE UP WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND RP THEM OUT IN A COMPETITION TO SEE WHICH BAND IS THE BEST BAND. IT COULD BE A NORWEGIAN BAND OR SOMETHING AND THE CHARACTERS ARE GOING UP AGAINST A BAND FROM KOREA. Also did I mention it doesn’t have to be POP? IT COULD BE ROCK N’ ROLL, HIP HOP, JAZZ, SKA, HEAVY METAL. THE CONCEPTS OF THE BANDS COULD BE ENDLESS, IT COULD EVEN BE A VINTAGE CONCEPT, MAYBE YOUR CHARACTER AND YOUR FRIENDS CHARACTERS DRESS UP AS HIPPIES OR SOMETHING! THE SONG IDEAS COULD BE ENDLESS! THE CREATIVITY COULD FLOW FREELY BECAUSE THE PLOTS COULD LITERALLY BE ABOUT ANYTHING REGARDING THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITION OR PREPARATION FOR THE COMPETITION!... as long as it wouldn’t be crack-ish since THIS IS AN AU RP IDEA!
I’m just throwing this idea out there and will let whoever wants to use it, use it and go wild with it. Make it your own... but all I ask is that you: Have all orientations, allow internationals, keep the gist of the plot of the rp intact, credit me if you want to, keep the rp as an au, and last but not least have some variety available when it comes to the bands competing.
Anyways thanks for reading this dump of an idea and let me know if you decide on picking this idea up since rpr looks kinda dusty (sometimes not all the time) these days.
