Some of the survivors of the Pulse virus found themselves forever changed. A distinct rash is now adorning their faces, darkening slightly around the eyes and almost completely absent from the jaw and foreheads.
If it were just this, it wouldn't be anything serious, however the rash is just the external features.
Somehow the disease had permanently damaged their minds, leaving them with the urge to inflict pain on whoever is nearby.
This urge can be repressed for a short while, but soon the urge will take over.
God bless anyone in your path when that happens...
The Twisted can be within other societies whilst they are suppressing, but they likely won't be trusted much.
Most Twisted tend to seek out other Twisted and form their own society, only interacting with those outside of their circle when the urges become too overwhelming.
