So, I dont know how much of a general culture this is. I learn about this about a year ago through a domino meme on Instagram that got me curious enough to do some Google research. 

Long stort story: the modern take on the omegaverse, omegaverse as we know it now (the use of hierarchy; alpha, beta, omega. Knotting, etc.) comes from...

the Supernatural fandom. 

Now there's soooooo much information on this and it's such a big thing I had no idea. I was part of the supernatural fandom during my early teens. Back then I didn't even had access to internet as now or understood what a fandom was (BaCk In mY dAy (FML LMAO) when you liked a show, you watched it on TV and were lucky enough if a friend at school also watched it with you djdjdjdjdjen). 

I didnt know about what a fanfic was until I was like 14? And I didnt know what Omegaverse was until a cOUPLE YEARS AGO. long after I had forgotten completely about Supernatural.

Every now and then I will remember how this crazy idea of omegaverse comes from such a loved TV show of mine lmao. And I'm re-watching is just now so I thought I should share it with y'all.
