— Biography —
There was nothing special about Don's upbringing. There was no bad part in it, he had a loving family who gave him everything. He got love, protection, everything you could ask for. He was loving and happy until he came up in his teens and started to hang out with the wrong crowd. He became moody, rude and had a temprament. It didn´t mean he treated his family bad, but he had his times and was barely home. They were defiantly worried.
His crimes started already in high school. They were quite small, but him and his “gang” was interested in the crime scene and used to steal from stores and so on. After high school it became worse. Don didn´t have any contact with his family after he left when he was eighteen. His mother called every now and then, but he didn´t bother. His crimes became much bigger, such as robberies and dealing with guns.
When he turned twenty his friends and him had planned one of the biggest robberies they done. It was a bank which was much more of a big deal than stores. Don was against it at first, he knew deep inside that what he did was horrible, but it was like an addiction, he couldn´t stop and he was already inside the criminal life, he was stuck. The robbery went bad. Don and two of his friends got caught by the police while three others went free. Don was sentenced to ten years in prison.
The time he spent locked in he hated himself, not because he was caught, but everything he done caught up to him. It was hard there, but he did everything he could to not end up in more trouble. His good behavior managed to save him. He was let out already four years for good behavior and overcrowedment.
As he got out he didn´t go outside, he didn´t answer his calls from his criminal friends and shut all from that world from him. It took a long time and a big struggle to get it away from him, but he managed to do it. After a year of doing nothing, but being afraid and trying to get away from his past he opened up his own support group and now works and speak to people about criminal life and trying to help people getting out of the same situations that he was in. He both hold support groups, personal meetings and goes out to places to speak.
He got his life back together and that´s when he decided to finally find a place and start his life from scratch at Seoul.
