Ashton was born in the Pearl household to his slave mother Sungmin and his master father Namjoon, along with his twin sister, avery. Because of his unique birth of having a master parent, Ashton was given the opportunity to live a realtively normal life witout being born as a slave.
Even though Ashton grew up in this manner, he ended up choosing for himself on what he wanted. Even though, it wasn't necessarily to end up as a slave, but he chose that route in order to be with the boy whom he had a crush on at the time in school. Ashton didn't even know that Yoongi was being raised and trained as a mastrer until he had moved to pearl.
It was a rough beginning for Ashton as he made the decision to become Yoongi's slave while they were still attending high school, but ashton was foolish and in love that he agreed.
Even though decades have passed since then, Ashton had never left yoongi's side, at some point their relationship grew. Ashton continues to still be loyal to the only man he will ever call master.
