What you'd like in an apprentice: A person who seeks to improve themselves in anyway, ripe with determination and potential. 
Why should a rookie request you as a mentor? The only thing I want to do is help them on their way. I have a pretty good understanding of the things that go on here and often ask the admins to make things clear in case something needs to be explained. Besides, I'm pretty friendly so hopefully they'd be comfortable around me.
To you, what is the bond between a mentor and apprentice? A good friend, a teacher, someone to rely on in times of need.
