Description

Coming from a family tree of infamous bounty hunters, Victoria followed her ancestors' footsteps and became one herself. Starting from the age of 9, a mere child, her mother trained her the way of fighting, the skills of using different types of weapons. Starting from a small sharp knife, to a short sword and bow, and eventually the katana, Victoria's mother also taught her how to conceal herself in the shadows when needed to avoid detection, one of the important aspects of being a bounty hunter. Her mother even taught her a value; "We only kill the people we have to, not the people we want to."

Her father was most of the time away from home completing missions tasked by the higher-ranking royals/imperials and sometimes commoners, in which the father will get a huge sum of money in return when he assasinates the target succesfully. Victoria's father was a very skilled bounty hunter, and was even considered better than his ancestors, with this talent and success, he was able to earn a lot of money by doing many assasination missions. The father pampered Victoria a lot, whatever she wants, the father gives. This caused her to be influenced by her father and thus creating a small level of greed for money within herself. "With money, you can do anything in the world." The father said to Victoria. Her father spends some of his free time drinking with his fellow friends in the pub, throwing money at hookers, and sometimes he gets drunk and taunts random people in the pub, creating a small ruckus which leads to a fight. These incidents happened a few times over and it made some people despise his attitude and hate him.

After 11 years, Victoria is 20 years old. She has now surpassed her mother and is equal with her father in terms of sword and bow skills, but she has yet to take a life away from another man, in other words, she has not done as assasination yet. Victoria sits down at her house's backyard as she ponders about the road she has taken, the life she has chosen and the future that will unfold before her. She looks up at the night sky and inhales deeply. "But i do not want to kill anyone, it is just not right... Money can definitely be earned some other way..!" Victoria exhales out and shakes her head, expelling the thought that was in her mind. As soon as Victoria stands up, a flaming arrow impales itself into the wooden house's front roof, which sets it on fire. It is then followed by a volley of fire arrows that was rushing towards the front side of the house and causing it to be on fire even more. Victoria spins around to see thick black fumes smoke emerging from the front of the house and war cries of men screaming at her doorstep. She ran back into the house to check on the situation but her mother appeared holding a katana and told her to stay away from the front, her mother tugged Victoria's shirt, signaling her to run away from the front of the house as the unknown raiders start to invade the house.

Victoria was confused and terrified at the same time until she does not know what to do but to follow her mother throughout the event, as the intruders made their way through and around the house, holding flaming torches and swords that seemed very dangerous. A voice could be heard within the crowd of intruders. "WE HAVE FOUND THE SONG BOUNTY HUNTER'S FAMILY, MAKE HIM PAY FOR SHAMING US WHENEVER WE ARE DRINKING WITH HIM. BURN HIS HOUSE, KILL HIS FAMILY, LEAVE NOTHING STANDING!" They continued to search around and in the house, looking for any residents that were still in it. Fortunately for Victoria and her mother, they were already all the way behind their backyard, where the intruders would most unlikely search as it was quite big and it leads to a back alley of the main street in the city. However, their luck seemed to run short as a person cuts into the backyard and spots Victoria and her mother with his sharp eyes. Her mother told Victoria to stay behind her as she held her katana in a battle stance, ready to take the attacker head on.

The battle was fierce and even, both blocking each other's attacks and no one was getting an edge. However, the attacker swung his sword hard into the mother's sword, the force caused the latter to stumble to the side, opening up a clear path towards Victoria. The attacker, seeing this opening, charged and raised his sword, about to strike down at Victoria. Victoria closed her eyes and screamed, awaiting her very fate that lies before her. There was a sound of flesh being slashed, and blood splattering on the floor and Victoria. She opened her eyes and saw her mother impaled by the attacker's sword, with blood flowing out at the point of penetration. The mother loosened her grip on her katana and fell onto the floor, looking up at Victoria and holding out her hand, speaking to her for the one last time. "R-run.... G-get away f-f-from here......" With that, all motions ceased to exist with the mother as she lays still on the floor. Victoria sees this and tears up, anger builds up within her as her blood slowly boils, she clenches her fist and stares at the person before her who killed her mother. "Oh? Is that your mother? Well I am not sorry, but you are next!" The attacker teased and threatened as he pulled the sword out from the mother's corpse and swung it towards Victoria. Victoria unconsciously dodged the attack, and she recalls the times when she was training with her mother in the skills of dodging. Thanks to her years of training, she was able to evade the attack and leap past her attacker and grab her mother's katana. Before the attacker could even react, she used the hilt of the katana and knocked the attacker in the back, causing him to face first onto the floor. Victoria stepped on the attacker's hand which was holding the sword and loosened his grip, kicking away the sword from him. She turned him around and uses her knees to subdue him onto the floor, rendering him immobile. She held the sharp blade of the katana mere millimeters away from his neck, as the attacker begged her to let him go and tried to apologise.

Victoria was in a dilemma right now, whether to kill or to spare this man's life, the man who killed her mother. "We only kill the people we have to, not the people we want to." Her mother's voice resonated in her mind as she slowly pulls the katana away from the man's neck.

The man heaved a sigh of relief as he closed his eyes and thanked how lucky he was, but that was the last sight of the night sky he was going to get, as the sharp blade of the katana sliced the man's throat, causing blood to sputter out high from his main artery. Blood splatters onto Victoria's face and hands. "Justice is done" Victoria said to herself as she stood up and decided her life at this point. "To follow my father's footsteps, and to earn the trust of the royalties" She quickly ran to the back alley of the main street before the main horde of intruders came into the backyard.

Up till today, she has not seen her father ever since that attack... Who knows what is the fate of her father, and what is the story and future that Victoria will have in this world?
