jungkook grew up in an unhealthy household. his parents were extreme homophobics. extreme homophobics as in they would often cheer when ever a gay wedding was decline and jungkook strictly remembered his mother cheering about a gay teenager that got killed. it was awful. they were awful. so jungkook would sneak out at night to find refuge, even just for the night, at the local gay club. it was his only safe haven since he had not many friends at school (well that and he'd always be terrified to bring friends over because of his parents behavior). but his parents found out about him sneaking out a little after his 14th birthday and that's when it got real ugly real quick. the abuse started right after that. jungkook would get beaten every day and his father would repeatedly him too, which would be ironic because his father is homophobi yet he'll his own son. the abuse didn't stop until recently, when he had turned 16 years old. his neighbors finally had enough of the screaming and the crying and called the cops to see what was going on and to end it. but that night took a drastic turn; when the cops arrived and no one answered the door, they bursted through the door with their guns aimed and searched the house. only when they stumbled across jungkook's bedroom, they found his father a badly beaten and unconscious jungkook while his mother sadistically videotaped it. his parents were promptly arrested for child abuse, ography, and many other cases. but, jungkook, however, was transported to the nearest hospital when a cop discovered that he wasn't breathing and his pulse was very weak. jungkook was dying and if they didn't do something quick, he'd be gone. luckily, he was saved in time and woke up from a 4 day coma. he was then handed off to an orphanage, where he's ignored.

jungkook is a fragile baby in more than one way. due to the trauma, he's not only terrified on getting close to someone but he's actually terrified of human contact. though he craves it the most 'cause all he wants is his superman to show up. he needs to be saved from his own demons, from his nightmares, from himself. there's not a day that goes by without jungkook wanting to kill himself and he does self-harm quite a lot. he refuses to eat sometimes and barely even speaks. so he's hesitant, shy, timid. but he yearns for love. he yearns for affection. and he yearns for everything he had grown up without. but he doesn't know who he can trust so he builds walls, lost of walls, in defense and secretly wonders if he'll ever meet someone who will dare to try to break them down.
