About Me

Kim Seokjin is a 24 year old university student studying cooking and hospitality. He dreams of opening his own restaurant when he graduates. He lives by himself in a small apartment near the university. He enjoys collecting many different types of figures and has a large collection of them at home. His favourite colour is pink and he has many pink items. His favourite being a warm pink knitted sweater that is a comfort item to him.

He gets sick easily when the weather is cold, he is unable to be out in the rain for long due to this. He always wraps up warmly in the winter to avoid being ill. Seokjin can come across as being quiet and shy, but he opens up once he gets to know someone. He is a fun and friendly person, willing to help people in need, although he is a little cautious about it. He can be very childish at times, finding small things fascinating. This seems to be some kind of coping mechanism for him.

Seokjin has a rather painful past. He lost both his parents in a car crash when he was 10 years old, he had been in the car with them when it happened. He has scars on his arms, legs and side from the accident and used to suffer from survivors guilt. He was sent to live with an aunt, who was very distantly related to him, however, she had never gotten on well with his parents and so disliked him. He suffered through 9 years of abuse while he lived there, mainly because she disliked him, he liked pink which wasn't manly, and she found out later that he was gay. His only comfort while living there was an older man who visited the house, he looked after him when he could and became like an uncle to him. This 'uncle' is the only person he has left in his left, and after suffering some mental health problems that led to his 'uncle' being sent to a mental hospital, he visits him there when he can.

He worked many different part-time jobs when he could, to save up money. Eventually, when he was 19 years old and legally an adult, he had saved up enough money and managed to move into his own apartment and escaped the abuse. Due to the abuse, Seokjin suffers from panic attacks, mainly in large, crowded areas, making his university life much harder for him. He hides the pain he feels very well, no-one apart from his 'uncle' knowing about it.
