Lee Jieun, born 16 May 2043, is the leader of Artemis. Cold and merciless, she founded Artemis to take over Seoul and get revenge on the wealthy whom she had grown to hate.

 

Jieun grew up in a poor family, taken care of by her older brother while her mother took on odd jobs to feed the family. Although it was difficult, she was contented with her life, having her brother with her. However, it all went into a downward spiral when her mother fell sick due to over exhaustion. When they went to the hospital for treatment, they were rejected as they were considered to be of lower class, leading to Jieun’s mother passing away. Without any kin to take care of them, Jieun and her brother were taken to different orphanages, where her older brother was adopted by a rich family, separating the two siblings. Jieun was devastated and closed up her heart, becoming distant and unforgiving, with a burning hatred for the rich and the powerful.
