kim jonghyun

kim jonghyun was inaugurated into a household that bore no love for him; bore nothing but hatred, scorn, and insecurity. a fox spirit with his number of tails had not been seen in eons; they feared his power, and so sealed him in a dark room which became his entire world. with no identity or sense of self, the only ray of expression jonghyun had was the window school (to which he was escorted to and from) offered him. from this, he learned the art of trickery; it effervesced within his soul like something innate, the need to manipulate and drag his way out of his lackluster situation. for though he did not truly know there was better, he itched with restlessness and a yearning to be free. and it came, first in the form of a maid come to serve him food. he seduced her - made his way up the hierarchy of his wealthy relatives until he'd reached the very top, a distant aunt of his that needed consolation and virility in her middle age. sanctity he wore about him like a mantle, a wolf ensconced in the lamb of god's woollen fleece. this demeanor was noted by his aunt's brother, the first man that jonghyun had ever encountered in his 20 years of life. he'd hesitantly attempted to use his wiles on the man, but was rebuffed; nevertheless, the man became his salvation by offering jonghyun what his heart had sought for: liberation. a study abroad opportunity. slowly, jonghyun's apathy gave way into a polite, calm personality. it was interesting studying the mazes that minds could be - he'd practically been trapped in his own for much of his life. every nuance and ridge was explored with zeal, and jonghyun became accomplished in his chosen field. he, a man of nothing, was now driven out of ephemerality and into realness. he now knew that falsehood was the correct way to go, that the dichotomy between good and evil was a line best blurred. and so, beyond his placid friendliness lurks the remnants of his shadowed past - cunning, flirtatious calculations and a desperate need for companionship.
