Awake: When he was younger, he was kicked out from his house for wanting to follow his dreams as an actor. His parents said that after what had happened to his uncle (who was an actor- keyword was, as his brother wouldn’t let him suffer through anymore), he definitely couldn’t be an actor, he’d have to go one some other path for a occupation, as long as it wasn’t anything in the entertainment business; his parents would tell to him. He, however didn’t want to listen as he was just a rebellious teen with a bunch of passion at that time- and when do they ever listen? He didn’t want to be restricted just because of what “happened” to his uncle (he swears it was probably just lies made up to try to scare him out of wanting to be an actor, and go and do one of those standard day jobs). When they had got into a big argument about this, his parents then kicked him out of the house in rage- all they wanted was the best for him anyways, so if he didn’t want to follow it, then he can go and suffer by himself! They slowly, but surely ended up regretting it, as Seokjin left the house, feeling betrayed. How could his own parents do this to him? Needless to say, he started being a bit less trusting when it came to new people, and a lot more shut off because really, if the people who gave birth to him betrayed him, practically everyone could! His passion for acting had just increased crazily after that day, the annoyance from being betrayed making him want to prove them wrong and become a famous actor even more. He was lucky that he had decided to work part-time jobs, and that he did take a good amount of allowance from his parents recently. It was still so sudden and hard on him, but at least he was able to minimize the impacts of it using the money. He just continued studying acting for at least a year, before finally going out and auditioning for roles. At first he was a struggling actor, not being able to get much roles, because who wants to hire someone who isn’t a big name, and doesn’t even have a company supporting him? He was like that for what felt like years, but he started his rise to fame after getting a role on a pretty popular drama. After that, he got offers here and there (definitely not anything compared to the lead actors, but for a supporting character getting some offers was pretty nice). He ended scoring a pretty big role as the villain of a mystery drama, which was actually very good at displaying his acting skills, as the plot and the way the character acted definitely pushed him outside of his comfort space in a good way. His next drama was actually a romance one that he had got casted in as his first lead role, as the director really liked his acting and thought his visuals fit in perfectly with the vision of the character. That drama took off and became a big hit, and now he’s called the next it-boy, and from time to time even called the nation’s ideal guy- which makes him get somewhat flustered, because he’s really not like the character, and all they saw was the character not really him.

Dreamland: Seokjin had always heard stories of the war when he was younger. Even as an immature, young kid he still found it quite sad, and he remembers always asking why on earth someone would do that. As he grew up, he discovered that he actually had some sort of talent when it came to earthbending. He decided to actually train as an earthbender- he enjoyed doing it too, after all. So he did, and soon enough he was actually quite good at controlling his bending. He ended up wanting to become a knight, so that he could protect others in the future if anything bad was to ever happen.

personality

Seokjin is quite caring and kind, albeit that he is a bit rigid around the edges due to his past, but as he is still a bit of a social person in his just natural personality, he doesn’t take too long for him (but still long, honestly) drop his fake coldness and his strong gazes; his shield. (Which he ultimately dislikes, because he really doesn’t want to feel betrayed again) Once he has dropped down his shield, even though he seems like a man of few words, he can actually be quite silly. He’s someone who’s very very ambitious when it comes to his work, and is very very hard working.
