about me
ji hyeran is psyche, but she feels disconnected to that life. hyeran doesn't spend much time in olympus anymore, but instead on earth. to put simply, she misses her mortal life. so, she has ran away from olympus and is just a "mortal". a mortal with a past she used as a cover up, to get away from the gods.
she fled to america, and created a life of her own. a girl born from a rich family, with two older sisters much like the ones in greece, and a popular and rich father. it wasn't until she visited korea once to see the grave of her dead mother, is when she met him. she didn't know who he was, but he was the most beautiful creature she had ever met. it wasn't hard to be attracted to him, and it wasn't hard to fall into his hold.
she was young, and she was reckless, and is it safe to say that she was in love? he reminded her so much of her life as psyche, and maybe that's why she gravitated to him. it didn't take long for hyeran to get back home, and to find out that she was pregnant.
enraged, her father threw her out of the house because hyeran refused to abort the child. hyeran refused because she was in love with the man, but not soon after, she started to despise him. he is what ruined her life, why she had to refuge at a friend's house and why she struggled with tuition at school and the child that cost so much. hyeran wanted to just quit, and be psyche again. the gods probably missed her, but she figured she went through so much more than this. she can get through this.
but, as the fates may have arranged, they brought her to the hotel of gods, with hyeran unknowingly went for work, she is expected to see more of her old comrades. some, unwanted, others, she missed more than she ever expected.

psyche (ψυχή) is most commonly known for her love with eros (Ερως). she was gaining many suitors and men started to pray to her rather aphrodite out of jealous rage, aphrodite sent her son, eros, to make psyche fall in love with the ugliest man in the land.
while on his mission, eros ended up falling in love with psyche, and kidnapped her to his palace. there, she stayed there and never saw his face. every night psyche would be visited by eros, and although scared and without ual experience, she starts to look forward to his visits. she soon becomes pregnant.
her sisters tricked psyche into burning eros with hot oil to see his face. she suspecting a horrid monster, but is surprised with the most beautiful creature she has ever seen. wounded, eros flies away and leaves psyche on the bank of a river.
psyche searches the land for her lost love, but stumbles upon various temples. she then realizes that she must serve under aphrodite to find her love again. aphrodite is pleased to have psyche in her order, and sends her maids to torture and whip psyche.
aphrodite then gives psyche missions to complete. for the first two, psyche gets help from kind animals and creatures, to help her through her tasks. the jealous aphrodite then sends psyche to the underworld to get the beauty from persephone. persephone grants psyche's humble entreaty. when psyche leaves the underworld, she is overcome with curiosity, and looks into the box that holds persephone's beauty. she is then put into an eternal sleep because of her betrayal to aphrodite.
eros' would heals to a scar, and he escapes aphrodite's palace to go look for psyche. when he finds her, he draws the sleep from his love's face and takes her to zeus and aphrodite, where psyche takes the box. zeus grants immortality to psyche so that the two lovers can be together forever. the children the couple bears is hedone (ἡδονή ).
