Description

Why, beautiful being, do you shun me? Surely my face is not one to repel you. The nymphs love me, and you yourself look not indifferent upon me. When I stretch forth my arms you do the same; and you smile upon me and answer my beckonings with the like. Stay, I entreat you! Let me at least gaze upon you, if I may not touch you.

Narcissus

/närˈsisəs/
noun
a bulbous Eurasian plant of a genus that includes the daffodil, especially (in gardening) one with flowers that have white or pale outer petals and a shallow orange or yellow cup in the center.

Brave warrior lost in the passion of my own skill, loved by many but one nymph confident enough to approach me but I casted her away. Broken and in despair she wilted away like a flower in the winter leaving me to the mercy of Nemesis. Cursed to love a beauty that I cannot touch I wilted away the same way above a pool of my own reflection.

Here I sit everyday by my love, praying to the gods that one day I might touch him. Love him like he was a living and breathing man. But alas, I fall to despair knowing that there will never be a day where I can love another. Yet I still hope and hope until one will come along and break me from my curse.
