We drench ourselves in blue,

the color of the midnight sky 

and it's hottest stars.

 

it's deep hue is dangerous.

it is both captivating and 

gentle as the swift, placid tide. 

 

people are so attracted to stars,

but wanna know why that is? 

 

because stars expire,

and so do we humans.

 

we all have our expiration date,
