Park Kyung; diamond; mage; blood-link with twin, Park Jihoon.

Description

All the details vvv

Park Kyung was born into a tribe-sized family as the youngest with a twin. His parents were best known as sorcerers and necromancers, though to the best of his recollection, they were hardly the evil sort. When he turned thirteen his parents were persecuted. Slaughtered alongside their kin and oldest child. The Hunt was on. He took out of his home first, leaving behind his siblings to flee as a group; with reluctance he also left Jihoon. If hisbtwin accompanied him, he would be powered by the need to protect him.

He wouldn't tell them it was a deep, dark case of depression that sent him on a literal suicide mission. Oh, how he longed for the sweet kiss of death. He nearlyforesged himself through the dense forest for nine moons straight. Once he was starving, weak, hair-triggered and hopeless, his savior found him weeping in the nook of a large maple.

His hero was a horse. Actually, not even hardly a horse; a Companion by the name of Amilie had scoured the forest for three moons with her herald, Jessine after sensing his dread and distress. They insistently escorted him to a place called Haven.

When Kyung first reached the palace he was doted on and tended to by healers in dyed green robes. He was stuffed with warm, buttered bread and soup with generous chunks of what must have been beef. This was a real haven, yet... he felt no will to live. After a few attempts on his life, he was guarded by heralds. And for some reason, they stared intensely at his eyes- his silver and nearly translucent eyes- and looked away in fear. Did they know he was a diamond? Did they know he possessed inherit abilities that differentiated him from the sapphires?

No. They were oblivious to his way of life. Completely. He still longed for eternal rest, but now yearned for his home as well. After his recuperation, he was introduced to a mage who trained him in the ancient mage arts. Kyung learned that thanks to his mother's rare power, he possessed an extinct ability. His eyes were reminiscent of those belonging to Herald Mage Vanyel Ashkevron. For a moment, he felt completely omnipotent. Like the most capable sorcerer in the world. Then he was summoned home by his twin.

The tree spirit who relayed the message instructed him to arrive punctually. The only way he saw effective was to gate. By drawing deep from his reserves and the earth node, he was able to open a gate to the keep where he was raised. This was where they arranged to meet. He was... beyond grieved- almost winded to see it in ruins. After nearly tumbling onto his face through the gate, Kyung felt the flame in his chest warming the blood that pulsed through his body to the tip of his fingers and on. His gazed locked on his twin, and he knew their blood-link had been rekindled.

___ Kyung's powers ___

-Kyung bears a smol flame in his soul that is his mage gift. Should it extinguish, he need only light it via the power node beneath the Earth's surface. This gift has been extinct for centuries.

-Twin's Link- Kyung shares a blood bond with his brother, Jihoon. Through this, they can share senses, emotions and energy; they can always find each other due to sheer instinct; if one twin dies, the link will sever and the other's sanity will perish, with his life spark short behind.

-Death Sense- This power has a strong link to his healing gift- as a healer, to protect life also means to destroy it and recognize when it has vanished.

-Radiant Aura- Because of his mother's blood and the miracle of his twin's birth, Kyung was granted the natural aura of light and steadfastness. Because his aura is pure and strong, somehow or other, his twin's evil aura (capable of killing on contact) has no affect on him whatsoever. In fact, he had no idea it was evend relevant until he saw his brother's capabilities himself.

-Mindspeech- pretty simple: can send & receive words, images, emotions and information in bulk to anybody- not just the gifted. Can detect other minds for an indeterminate distance.

-foreseeing ; farseeing- can see vague flashes and flickers of hopeful or foreboding (mostly the latter) events to occur in the unknown future ; can see distances as far as a city away, or a continent's span under meditation

-Carsite Demons- Having spent almost a harvest season creeping through the hostile territory of Carse, Kyung learned some basic spells and incantations to summon the horrid monstrosities.
