Born as the oldest out of the three kim siblings, Mingyu has always had some kind of responsibility resting on his shoulders. If it wasn't the one of trying to be a role model for his younger brothers nor making sure they wouldn't do anything stupid, it most likely was just helping his parents - who both were busy working, constantly caught up in going from place A to place B - with the housework. The boy has grown up quite quickly, fooling others into thinking he was a lot older than in factuality. Imprisoned by hours spent in school and the following duty to watch out for his siblings to not burn the house down, he has learnt how to organize his time well enough to find at least a few minutes for everything he needed to do, whether that was something as simple as washing the dishes, cleaning after dinner, homeworks or sketching modern buildings late at night. As you might have guessed, the last matter was an act of passion.

Architecture has always been a dream of his, as he'd constantly draw monochrome skyscrapers, imaginative museum and shopping centre facades, optimistically planning his hobby to become his future job. And just like that, with hours spent hunched over beige paper, a pencil in his tight grip and the sound of it's tip stroking over the paper until late night hours, his dream eventually became reality. Or better, the beginning of dream. Having applied and passed the entrance exams to the country's best artistic university with flying colors, the boy moved away from his hometown, leaving his family behind.

Despite his undeniable maturity, Mingyu still is a child at heart and whoever knows him better than from first glance only will be able to agree to it. Pure and rather naive if it comes to social interaction, he is commonly found hanging out with the few friends he has made while in university. Most of them joke that without them, he probably would have died already and that isn't much of an overstatement really - the male is great, almost unbeatable if it comes to technical skills and he probably would be just fine if you left him stranded on an island in the middle of the sea; he would somehow fight his way out of it - as he's not that acquainted with rules of society. He's gullible, always keeps his word and tends to be too caring for his own good. Intelligent, he's been raised thinking that there's something positive in every person, which sometimes leaves him hanging with his bare face hanging out.

He has never been in an even remotely serious relationship, so he has a lot of expectations if it comes to his potential second half, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He himself is quite romantic and is one of the few, naive idiots who still believe in something along the lines of love at first sight, that isn't purely predestined to end in a friends with benefit like relation. He's quite emotional, tends to take a lot of things personally, even though he knows he shouldn't care about others words too much.

I. purely ooc; lexie, gmt+1, uni student. i'm really exhausted every time i come back home, so expect slow replies.

II. third point of view only. i tried and ended up defeated by the other option, so don't even suggest it. the length of my replies is usually around a few paragraphs or something along the lines of novella if i'm really into the plot + have a lot of time to spare (which is gonna be super rare).

III. you don't need to have a plot in mind when approaching me, just don't write me stuff like "i'm not sure what i want to rp though, haha :)" after you've suggested brainstorming. i'd punch you in the face if i could, so be happy i can't.

IV. don't poke me unless more than 3 days have passed since i've gotten back to you. i usually reply in the evenings, so it might take me a couple of hours to type a reply.

V. the "you ask, you start" rule doesn't apply when roleplaying with me. if it makes more sense for your character to initiate the plot then you'll start, if it's the other way round - i'll do it. as easy as that.

VI. pm me if you wanna, i'm not that much of a bad person, exhaustion just makes me look like one.
