rather than having a normal life back home in japan where she was from, sana had run away from home when she realised she couldn't tolerate it anymore - all the 'preparations to become a suitable heiress' for her mother's fashion company. all the pushing for her to learn business when all she ever wanted to do was write and photograph the scenery. she hated her parents - they were insufferable and only kind to her for show, when there were cameras, as a publicity stunt. behind closed doors, they were filled with insults to her fac. not to mention sana knew just how cruel and unfair her mother was therefore she didnt want to lay a single finger on her mother's company that was built off of lies and cheating. she ran away to korea once she turned twenty and its been a little over a few months since then. her grandfather had helped her, secretly sending her money every now and then without a trace because that was just how powerful her grandfather was as well. sana couldnt deny her grandfather's money because he was persistent but she only uses it when she needs it, saving instead as she works hard to survive on her own in a foreign country, name changed and her once shy demeanor thrown away.
in other words, she was a runaway 'princess', seeking freedom from the clutches of her parents. once in a while she'd run into a few bodyguards that were sent to take her back but she always managed to outsmart them with the help of her grandfather. once a rich heiress with everything she could ever dream of, now just a lonely girl in a big city trying to survive on her own.
personality
sana was a rather timid and shy young lady, always so gullible and innocent to her parents' words but then one day, reality hit her that she couldnt take it anymore so her way of thinking changed. she became more expressive and open. she began to speak up for herself but that wasnt enough, apparently. personality wise, she's just as soft as she used to be. she likes skinship and get clingy at times. she always has a confused expression on her face due to her still trying to deal with learning a new language. she's determined to achieve success and will stand up for what she believes in. her strength would be how she carries herself. can be shy sometimes but goes off when she gets annoyed. her weakness is her inability to cope with too much at once - she's tough but since she suppresses her emotions at times she can burst easily if you probe her enough. stress would make her extra sensitive.
