Hangyeom has a strong passion for music, this passion started around when he was ten years old. He loved to write poems and songs when he was younger and often likes to compose them whenever he has time too. While his passion and his dreams were to write songs that would inspire people. And he figured that the best way to get his songs out to the public was through song. 

Hangyeom became in love with dance, it was something that he became passionate about. HIs Passion for composing and songwriting was still strong, but at the same time, he loved dancing. He learned how to dance and would often write song lyrics. Around the age of fifteen, he auditioned with his first company and was accepted. However, there were other talented trainees besides him and so he had to learn other things. 

His vocal was decent, but not outstanding so the company had him take lessons that taught him how to rap. And at first, it was something that he wasn't very passionate about, he felt that his singing was superior to his rapping, but that quickly changed. And a year later he finally debuted. 

He debuted in a group called Maxx, at the age of sixteen. He was the main dancer and lead rapper of his five-member group, as well as the maknae. two years into the group's debut, the company would not allow him to write or publish the songs that he worked so hard to compose and write, so he left the group on good terms. 

He is still pursuing his dream to write songs that would inspire people and is still very passionate about dance. He joined Giddae Entertainment shortly after leaving his last company and has been a trainee for Three years.
