I can only say what I know
He used to be part of a pack, a rather large one in fact, but Jason felt like there was something more out in the world. Leaving behind the pack he knew to travel the world, meeting other packs and learning from them about their ways and their cultures before moving on to the next place. He thought he could keep going on his own, but something had brought him to this new area. Arriving sometime after a war. He knew not what had caused the war or what had happened, but he could tell that the packs were trying to rebuild themselves and find lost loved one. Ignoring his need to return to life within a pack, he chose to watch what they did.
