Little baby Chris always used to smash his face against the tv once there were soldiers on tv, always saying he wanted to be like them when he grew older. Obviously, his mom was terrified, didn't want him to risk his life like that. But Chris slowly but surely gained her trust. When he kept on answering "Soldier" to everyone's "What do you want to be when you grow up?" He kept true to his word and enrolled as soon as he left high school. Training hard every day, once even till he had a burn-out and was forced to take a break. Chris doesn't really know the limits of his body. Not unless he is told to stop, he will just continue. Day on, day out he worked on his body to create the body of a super soldier. He succeeded, with blood, sweat and tears he was accepted into the US Army. Until the accident, he was a Colonel in the Army. Leading his troupes through the battlefields with is best friend by his side. Always getting everyone out alive because of his wise tactics, yet one day it all goes to . They're surrounded. Chris makes a run for it and drops a smoke bomb. They all run for their lives through the bullet shower, to their camp. The ones at the back covering with surpressing fire. The shields right next to them. Everyone seemed to be there. He counted all their heads. But where was- . Tunnel vision. His best friend, Sebastian. Sebastian. Sebastian. Sebastian. He was still outside, shot in his shoulder and thigh. Unable to move. Enemies gathering. There was no other option than carrying him back. So he did. But he did not see the grenade being thrown at them. Chris was so close to their camp, his breath was beginning to get heavy. Sebastian's blood covering his hands and chest, sinking into his clothing. Staining over dirt and sweat. Boom. First there was nothing. He opened his eyes and the first thing he looked for was Sebastian. He was gone. Medics were gathering around him. Sebastian? He was okay, he got told. Chris got hoisted onto a stretcher and that was the moment when the pain washed through him. He reached for his left leg, but there was nothing. Just a stump, he yelled out in pain. Just a few weeks later, present day. He still has to get used to the prosthetic. It's weird to feel the transition of normal skin of his thigh to plastic. But that's worth it. Because his best buddy is still with his side.
