ABOUT ME
Born as Faith Lee in Brooklyn, New York, Chaerin didn't have the best life. Her parents were first generation immigrants to the US and therfore struggled a lot through life. Her mother died young and her father started smuggling and selling drugs to make ends meet. He was eventually arrested and sentenced to jail where he would later die. Faith was 12 by then and was forced to leave everything she knew to live with her grandparents in Daegu, South Korea. It was here that her name changed to Chaerin and she found her love for rap. She joined the underground rap scene under the name CL and helped her grandparents by taking two part time jobs. One as a cafe singer and the other as a model all while going to school. While in high school, Chaerin was scouted by YG and trained for four years before debuting as the leader of 2NE1 at the age of 18. However shortly after debut, the group disbanded and Chaerin moved to Starlight Entertainment where she debuted as a member of 5tars. Once again, the group was disbanded shortly after debuting due to the company going under and Chaerin found herself in Urban Entertainment at the request of her former 5tars members, Hyuna, Jisoo and Minzy who were all also under Urban. However, before she could debut the company once again went under and she moved to Phoenix Entertainment at the request of Hyuna who is also under the company. Now she's a solo artist and producer who goes by her English name, Faith. When producing however she goes by Cherry (as is sounds similar to ChaeLee).

 

PERSONALITY
She's a very blunt person. She doesn't care which name you call her by although she doesn't really prefer Faith since it reminds her of her past in the States and of her parents. However, she won't bother you if you call her that. She's also a very no nonsense kind of person and has a tendency to talk harshly due to her background of being from Brooklyn and then living in Daegu. With that being said, Chaerin is also very loving and faithful and most importantly loyal to her friends and family.
