Once a patient of Lost Angels' Mental Hospital himself, Yoongi used to once have a very dangerous multiple personality disorder, a resulting trauma from watching his one best friend from when he was young commit suicide. He wasn't aware there was something wrong until people would start asking him about things and he realized there were nothing but holes in his memory. He also began to find clothes in his closet that he was sure weren't his. His older brother ended up being the one to help him solve the mystery, although almost too late.
When Yoongi was about to turn seventeen, one of his four alternate personalities had begun to pay close attention to Yoongi's older brother. This one personality, Eunji, was Yoongi's fighter. She refused to let anyone get close to Yoongi. From the shadows of his mind, she was always on guard, protecting him so that he never had to experience loss like he did when he was younger. Because of her though, Yoongi almost killed his brother, but was pulled back to consciousness when his brother screamed at him. He broke down in tears and heard his brother out, letting the older admit him into the mental hospital.
Years later, he has ended up returning to the hospital to put in work. He wants to be apart of the program that helped to make him better. He's still new but, so far, he feels that he fits right in. He hasn't had a relapse since he was released from the hospital but it still concerns him sometimes that it might happen. Only if he feels his thoughts are consuming him does he go into hiding, not leaving his house for days, sometimes weeks, at a time, just to collect himself before things do get out of his control.
Yoongi is known to be very standoffish and distant but he's also known to show a warmer side of his personality to his patients. He carries a typical doctor type air about him, somewhat stiff and book smart as well as full of common sense. He can be very sarcastic but it naturally comes out, although it's another thing he tends to tame with his patients versus everyone else. He can be playful but only around certain people; Like his trust, getting to experience his playful, more free side is something that must be earned.
