in an attempt to annoy everybody, smolcunt beat jongin until he developed a stutter. well uh canonly it was his father who beat him :) jongin's parents expected nothing but perfection, they're a family of perfectionists. every time jongin would get something wrong, he'd get beat - and he was like 6/7 at the time this had happened. the only words that jongin can remember from the moment was "why can't you do anything right" as the disciplining slaps on jongin's head became full swings that flung him across the room. naturally, cps was called and jongin was taken to the orphanage briefly as his living situation was being mapped out. his father went to jail with mandatory therapy and his mother... was a mess. her husband was in jail and tbh she was highkey afraid of his abuse too because HAHA domestic abuse :") not funny but uh this is just dark let me lighten it up a little okay but uh she was on the verge of losing her child as well but tbh she kinda didn't want jongin because he looked so much like his father and jongin ended up living with his grandparents from then on. after being beaten to pulp, jongin was discovered to have developed a really bad stutter from brain damage and tbh they could have fixed it and he could have grown up normally IF his grandparents weren't already retired and low on income. they didn't plan on raising their grandkid, you know. they tried their best to give him a loving home and they did give him that, but he was so self conscious of his speech, so scared of failure, that he decided to just not speak for about ten years or so. i mean, he didn't not speak for ten years straight but he spoke as little as he could as possible. his teachers were aware of his speech problems and he had many of them try to push him to talk and fix it but he's a stubborn puppy. luckily for him, the internet exists and he became social through text and gaming. eventually this encouraged him to get out of his rut. what others think about him, he had a taste of friendship online and now he was thirsty to have friends that could talk to him and laugh with him and be there physically. but, it's way harder to do. other students make fun of his stutter, he gets bullied for his stutter and and he's still honestly afraid and confused of any physical affection because every time he'd see a hand coming in his direction he'd flinch like the child he was ten years ago.
