Growing up, Tzuyu witnessed how the relationship between her father and mother deteriorated. Soon, her father left the house, leaving Tzuyu with her mother. Times had been hard for them and she could not wait till she began working to reduce the financial burden of her mother. At age 24, with a degree in Early Childhood Care & Education, Tzuyu became a preschool teacher. She heard about the bond from a colleague that she had grown close to but she brushed off the thought, thinking, "If there was really such a thing, why did my parents turn out that way?" However, a few weeks later, there was still a tugging in her heart to know more about the bond. That was when she found out about the online dating website . Out of curiosity, she started typing in her registration form.

Because of her past, Tzuyu has a wall built up in her heart as she is afraid of getting hurt, just like how her mom had gotten hurt. Deep down in her heart, she wished to be loved by someone and live happily ever after with that person. However, her fears and insecurities always won over her. When she is working, she is able to be the firm yet comforting teacher, showing immense love towards the little children. But when outside of work, she becomes quiet, reserved and retreats to her comfort zone, her room. Tzuyu likes swimming, cycling and playing badminton. But her favourite of all is, reading.
