jake was blessed with something few truly get, or at least it appeared to be so, needless to say. a mundane, normal family life consisted of his mother, anna jo bugg, and father, oisin kennedy, and two older brothers, noel and paul. they had three cats, cherry, maura and pixel, and a dog named blÅ which meant blue in danish, his favourite colour. his dog, however, ended up dying after he got off the leash and was hit by a car, in front of him. Jake was an intelligent boy, but struggled a lot in social settings and often times with subjects he didn't like. playing different sports, like soccer and tennis helped him a bit but not past the age of 13.

when he turned fourteen, he started exhibiting even more social problems and extreme sensitivity to emotion and certain noises. he stopped playing sports and stayed at home more often than he even went to school. when his mother would try to make him go, he'd have violent fits and it would generally end with him sobbing and his parents letting him stay home. the children at the school he was going to weren't bullying him, rather, they ignored him altogether. no one acknowledged him. around that same time, he started to get semi-frequent seizures of the tonic-clonic sort, and was diagnosed with 'high functioning autisim'. He wasn't though, and he knew it, but he wasn't a doctor. he couldn't challenge what the man said because he knew 'better'.

to cope with the diagnosis and having to take anti-convulsants, jake turned to music and his parents bought him a guitar with a little set up to put in the basement, and he finally started flourishing again. when he started secondary school, he was in a band for all four years called cosmic waste, and started interning at a recording studio in nottingham. he finished the internship at age 18 and started working there before moving into an apartment by himself with his cat, zara. it's quite lonely, and very scheduled and organized, but the loneliness is what upsets jake the most. he doesn't have friends and has trouble in making them.

and that's what brought him here.
