seungcheol comes from the countryside. his education was very poor in the area, and his family moved into the city by the time he was in high school for his sake since they didn’t want his intelligence to be wasted. however, he was extremely behind and was picked on profusely. he found an old elementary physics textbook at a thrift store, and he used it to begin steadily catching up, then being able to use the textbooks in the local libraries. he has wanted to desperately lift his family out of poverty and pay them back, so he has an extreme desire to attend one of the sky universities and become an engineer. however, he is currently twenty-three years old and has yet to begin college, insisting that his college entrance exam score isn’t high enough to go (despite being exceptionally high and well within the range of admittance, particularly given his background). he is extremely determined to attend a sky university at whatever cost (however, they’ll never let him in since he isn’t a legacy, and won’t even consider his application unless if he donates a large sum of money).
he’s still a very good boy, but he is competitive in the area of academics (yet not to the point where he harms others). he works himself far too hard and struggles with anxiety from time to time.
