phase one

it is dark. he is afforded nothing more than a bed and lies,  three meals a day and the opportunity to go to school. these are only given to him because at least half of his blood is pristine; only these are given because the rest of him is filth, a blight upon the family's honor that needs to be overlooked.

phase two

jeonghan realizes that there is nothing worth living for. his existence is empty, he is empty, but he realizes that he wants that gaping hole within him to be filled. perhaps all he needs is freedom.

phase three

the maid who comes to serve him his food is a sympathetic, simple creature. she colors when jeonghan's fingers brush against hers, a most becoming roseate that stirs something within him. she trembles when he grasps her by the wrist, succumbs when he leans in toward her, intent on decoding this mystery before him. what it reveals is the key to his survival. 

phase four

he learns that his mother was done away with for her affair with the married man of another family.  this gives him a vendetta, an excuse for the things he does when he learns of it.
he swallows people. he kills, seduces, claws his way up the hierarchy of his ridiculously large family, until he is the sole proprietor of its assets and money. he decides that it is more beneficial to manipulate lesser criminals from behind the scenes, thus exempting himself from the risk of capture and allowing him to cultivate the wealth he worked so hard for. 

phase five

he's now the owner of his own nightclub, the guise of which allows him to operate various tenets of organized crime. his position at the academy is an avenue of relaxation and a source of great amusement.
