background: in his life as a human, jino faithfully gave his life to a man when he was very young who proffered to take jino out of the slums and in his entrusting hands. leaving his impoverished parents and numerous siblings behind at around ten years old, he swiftly erased them from his mind since his family offered nothing profitable to him. with his new father, he had a decent home that was safe, and he didn't have to worry about if he'd be able to eat or not. he was also able to indulge in luxury brands (as long as he wore the pin of his adoptive father's family on his chest). in exchange, he joined the yakuza under his adoptive father's name. he was loyal as long as his father gave him his luxury goods, food, and women. he was his father's right hand man until he was later betrayed. he assassinated a target his father told him, yet the moment he returned with the head, his father shot him in disgust, murmuring, "no son of mine would kill." ultimately in the afterlife, jino drew upon his experience as a yakuza in the afterlife and is the head of collections for forcing humans who owe a lot of money into giving inferno inc their slice. after learning his fatal lesson, he isn't loyal to anyone but himself.
