Jesse Williams

30 // Straight // Plastic Surgeon // Surviving

Jesse Williams was born in America to a teen mom who ultimately gave him up as an infant. He was eventually adopted by an older korean couple who were unable to conceive. They were open about the adoption with him from the start, and cared for him as any parent. His mother loved him so, and always made sure he was happy and cared for. Whenever he was bullied for being adopted and mixed, his mother was there fighting the school, making sure he wasn't treated unfairly. She was his favourite person in the world. His father was different. Though he loved him, Jesse's relationship with his father was an uncomfortable and stern one. Though his mother doted on him, his father was stern and strict. He was a respected doctor at the biggest hospital in Seoul, and he expected no less for Jesse. He always had to have the best grades, the best part-time job, and take part in the highest extra curricular activities. That made it really tough when his mother passed away, and it was just the two of them. Jesse was 17 when it happened, and for a week, his father and him were close.
It was a good week. Not long after, his father threw himself to work, grieving by himself. That left Jesse to grieve alone as well. Ever since, he's been quiet and kept mostly to himself. He grew up, went to medical school and became a plastic surgeon. His father is much older, but has refused to stop working. Him and Jesse talk every now and then, but it continues to be a distant relationship.

Personality wise, he's reserved and usually likes to keep to himself. Even at work, he smilea and chit-chats but doesn't make any lasting friendships. He's had relationships, but nothing that got too serious. Often, he found people avoiding eye-contact with him, or much talking either. He realized soon that people were intimidated of him, and his piercing gaze. He also noticed he got the attention of women a lot. After realizing that women wanted him, and men were intimidated by him, Jesse started to gain more confidence in himself. He started to laugh and talk and make friends. It was a nice change of pace, as he felt he was locked out of hiw own self for a very long time. Though he is enjoying his life now, he is still very insecure. He holds back a lot of his feelings and avoids getting too into things like that.

He's very competitive, though he hates to be. Growing up, he was always pressured by his father to be the best, so he struggled a lot whenever he felt he was failing. He is very aware of all his flaws; He's competitive, he sometimes has a hard time controlling his temper, he finds his own smile funny looking and hasn't been in a long, serious relationship.

Today, he is just trying to enjoy the life he has, and is learning to love himself.
