deFINITELY
which would play into pushing his girlfriend. they were at some rooftop party, she was so pent up with how he was just focusing on himself, critisizing him and saying he wasn't as great as he thought he was. before he knew it he had her by the shoulder and was shoving her over the edge.

i'm just imagining how dramatic it would be, such a fancy party, lee seunggi loved by everyone...and a moment later he's this cold-blooded killer standing in a fancy suit casually sipping his champagne

more speculation for seunggi's character ;
maybe after the whole girlfriend pushing incident, and the verdict of him being sent to the dome, some fans stay and new ones come on board because he's basically the equivalent of those psycho / murderer people that a specific fanbase adores. those uh criminal love blogs or whatever, on Tumblr. he's torn because he loves the attention and praise, but it's usually for what he's done. he loves and hates the blogs at the same time. "imagine the little smirk he gets when you're on your knees praising him." <<< He likes. "i'd let him push me off a building if it meant he'd touch me." <<< He does not like. Maybe I'm thinking about this too hard.

"I'm the center of my own universe."

1. HISTORY
normal - for all intents and purposes, seunggi was just a completely normal boy from a middle class family in the city. he went to a normal school, had normal friends - so on and so forth. like other kids, he had a dream about what he wanted to be when he grew up. seunggi had always wanted to be a singer, and his parents did their best to support him by coming to his school talent shows and musicals. they couldn't afford to get him music lessons, so seunggi started taking them in his second year of high school once he scrounged up enough money from two part-time jobs. it was during a public competition held in some mall that he was noticed by an already quite popular singer in the music industry. they offered seunggi the opportunity of a lifetime, taking the teen (aged 17 at the time) under his wing and grooming him for idol life. his debut? an instant success. seunggi was almost scared by how popular he became over night - didn't like the sudden feeling of everyone's eyes being on him, but he told himself to push through because this? this was his dream. over the years he garnered quite the colorful list of achievements, from awards to certificates to broken records. he has albums and singles and osts under his belt like pokeballs to a trainer, and he carried them with pride.

of course, people always say fame changes people, and unfortunately seunggi was one of those to fall victim to its clutches. the fame started going to his head, leading to seunggi becoming somewhat arrogant and full of himself. it wasn't nearly as bad originally, when people could talk him down and bring him back to the mindset of the luckily successful teenage boy. however, it just kept getting worse and worse. people within the industry that were once friends or colleagues started to dislike him. he treated his staff horribly, demanding only the best and getting rid of those who didn't achieve it with a flick of his wrist. seunggi had the influence and the power to do so, considering he was still a top star - if not THE top star at the time. his self-absorbed personality became the norm, developing into narcissistic personality disorder (the personality disorder that's part of the reason for him being at the dome). at that point seunggi literally only cared for himself, so much that he barely looked at other people. it's a wonder how he even had a girlfriend at the time, someone who wasn't a celebrity at that.

this leads to the entire reason for him being brought to the dome. seunggi and his girlfriend at the time were attending a rooftop party for celebrities, and seunggi was having, well, a great time until she pulled him to the side. he'd been ignoring her practically the whole night, treating her as arm candy and silencing her when she tried to in. she told him as much, seunggi merely brushing her off and trying to get back to the party before she started slinging insults. "you only think about yourself, never about me. have you heard some of the things that come out of your mouth? 'you're not a celebrity, you wouldn't understand, nobody even knows you.' and don't even get me started on the fact that you always call yourself the greatest when it's not true. the handsomest? how can you even say that when lee sangyoon is right over there?" she wouldn't stop talking, and for the first time seunggi felt this intense hatred. anger. more so than any other time before, and without even realizing it his hand was on her shoulder and he was pushing her off the edge of the roof. that's the main reason he's in the dome - her murder. after he'd pushed her off he just stood there calmly, sipping his champagne as the other guests stared in shock before everything broke loose. one of the guests called the police, a couple of the men coming forward to take hold of seunggi in case he tried anything else.

eventually, seunggi was taken in by the police, and news blew up over night that the popular singer had killed someone in cold blood. there were many court visits and trials, seunggi being "babysat" in a prison cell during all of this, before it was ultimately decided that he would be sent to the dome. it was his lowest point. video footage of him snarling and yelling like a rabid dog, preaching about how she deserved it, wrapped up in a prison uniform, etc. etc. he still has fans, surprisingly, but they're...less than ordinary. the kind that idolizes criminals, which seunggi refuses to acknowledge himself as. he's too "amazing" to be something as dirty as a criminal. or so he thinks.

2. PRESENT
as a domer seunggi likes his "freedom," as it's much more than he had during all the court stuff. in the dome a lot of people don't recognize him as a criminal, but still as the singer, which is nice. there's not much to say other than he's still stuck in that "i am the best" headspace, ignoring others and thinking only of himself. if someone is a famous criminal he 99.99% of the time doesn't know who they are because he only ever thinks of himself, only reads news about himself, listens to his own songs, looks at his reflection, etc. narcissism at its most extreme.

3. PERSONALITY
first and foremost, seunggi is the center of his own universe. to him, nothing is more important than himself and his image. his morning routine probably takes as long as three hours (depending on the day) because he always has to look his best. he pampers and praises himself, which is only topped by others pampering and praising him (which is hard to come by in the dome). in actuality, for all his bravado and theatrics, seunggi has extremely low self-esteem. past rock bottom. the moment someone takes a jab at it, he's like an injured dog, violent tendencies sparking out of defense (such as the situation with killing his girlfriend). you could say this was how his disorder developed, as before it took over seunggi was full of insecurities about being good enough. he still is, probably, deep down. anyways, as long as you keep him happy seunggi shouldn't be a problem, unless others are easy to get annoyed by him. if someone needs help he won't extend a hand because he believes they're not worth his time, and he shouldn't get himself dirty. he doesn't go out of his way for other people, but expects other people to go out of their way for him. seunggi is the best, the greatest, the most amazing and a slew of other similar words - at least, to himself.
