chosen from birth, his first cry bringing a gust of wind and a patch of flowers, it was obvious to the village who kutjatel had picked as her latest oracle. from that very moment onward taehyung's entire life was decided for him by the village's elders and leader, who did their very best to uphold kutjatel's rules. "my oracle must be pure. my oracle must bathe in the waters of the lake. my oracle must blah blah we get it." taehyung has been done with the whole oracle shindig for quite awhile, but continues to follow through with his duties to kutjatel. while his dreams stretch far beyond village and forest, he is bound by her magic till who knows how long。
the lowdown: taehyung is a modern day oracle with a penchant for lazing about, provided most necessities and wants by the town's leader (and elders). kutjatel delivers her messages to him when the full moon occurs (usually), and sometimes at random moments. you can pretty much tell when he's conversing with her because he'll suddenly pass out, which is different than being possessed by her. when he's possessed by kutjatel his eyes glow an off-white (with a hint of green), and his voice becomes a little echo-y. when taehyung's not fulfilling his oracle duties he's usually dressed in a t-shirt and loose jeans, playing the latest mobile game or watching television. did i mention how much of an unhappy he is? kutjatel declared that her oracle must remain pue until the age of 20, meaning taehyung couldn't do the do unless he wanted to accidentally destroy the village. even after that time frame (since he's now 22 years old) people are either too scared to sleep with him for fear of inciting kutjatel's wrath, or are just weirded out by the whole oracle thing period. "i mean, the worst that could happen is, like, she possesses me while we're ing and says something like 'fire will destroy this village in eight days.' major killer." (and they never said he couldn't use his own hand when he needed to) taehyung is definitely very aware of the dwellers in the forest, feeling bad for them, but unable to enter the woods as kutjatel's oracle (almost the same as how the dwellers cannot leave the forest). since everything has been decided for him and handed to him since he was born, taehyung has a bad habit of expecting others to cater to him (although he's trying to change that). he has dreams of going around the world, a hopeless romantic who's daily thoughts often revolve around the big apple and a night in paris (which he's only read of in the books people bring back to the villge for him to read)。
