Section oo1 : history / about
Yunho was born to a korean mother and an egyptian father after the two fell in love over one summer romance together. Yunho was born in egypt itself and was raised there just like any other child despite his minor differences.
As he got older, Yunho realised these differences a little bit more and briefly visited Korea to see if it would have been better for him there. Though of course because he wasn't raised there, yunho felt like an alien in a strange land despite belonging to korea through his mother's side.
Deciding to spend his time then in egypt, he learned since he was a child how to worship the old gods and pay them homage. Working as a priest for one of the temples, yunho enjoyed the quiet life very much and thought to live as such until the day he would eventually die, he hoped, in his old age.
Such a blessing was not to come his way.
Yunho was murdered not long after he had turned 32, a betrayal so horrible that the goddess of funeral rights and death herself, nephthys took pity on yunho. Catching the man between life and death, she let him live as such, a servant to her in sorts as a guide to wandering and lose souls - someone you and i might call a reaper. Along with this Yunho has no retained memory of his life before what he does now, the goddess having put him in halloweentown as well, having thought it safest there for her little reaper.
This is where Yunho now resides, and aside from nightmarish dreams he can't remember from his past, the man looks after children. Having raised enough money to open an orphanage, he cares for the forgotten children, those also stuck between life and death and need a little more guidance than usual to find the light. ghosts, yunho looks after ghost children.
however, it seems despite nephthys's best intents, the truth can't be kept from yunho, not forever.
