he’s broken and angry — the perfect blend for your typical delinquent. he’s typically a level headed guy, he knows how to laugh and have fun, but flip the wrong switch and you’ll have to deal with hell. it’s in his nature to stand up for those who can’t protect themselves and he’ll march head on into a war if he’s angered. there’s a bit too much pride in him and it blocks out any rational thought - especially when it comes to difference in strength. one of his few good traits is his loyalty and anyone who’s important to him knows that he’d go to hell and back for them.
growing up, his father had passed away early and so he was left alone with his mom as they suffered to fend for themselves. it wasn’t until a man came into their lives and his mom got remarried that his world turned into chaos. he put up with the stranger because he helped pay the bills but he hated him — and he soon found out, he was more of a monster than yongguk thought. he was a vampire. he used yongguk’s mom as his source of food and she put up with it because she needed to provide for her son. it wasn’t until she grew sick that her husband started coming after the boy for satisfaction.
years down the line, after his mother eventually passed away and yongguk had managed to free himself from the grasps of his stepfather, he carried the bitter hatred he had harbored as he chose to become a vampire hunter. he spends most of his time either working as a bouncer for a local club or taking down the unforgivable monsters. yongguk was into the world of violence and destruction, but that had always suited him best, hadn’t it?
