22 in human years, 24 in vampire

The last few years of his life have been quite arduous. Being born and raised in Ecuador, he never had a chance to learn any language other than Spanish. A few years ago Chris was bitten by a nomadic vampire of whom he thought he loved, though after finding out what they were he casted her away. He did so because his family's relations with the a cult and supernatural beings is jagged at best, and so he was taught to abhor demons and supernatural creatures in general. Due to this ignorance, he let his lover go and they bit him in retaliation, so he could suffer the same loneliness and betrayal by loved ones. And he did, his family -- especially his abuela -- threw him out of the house after a misconstrued exorcism went horribly wrong. That's when he heard about Halloweentown, and the haven it provides. He made it here but has difficulties still speaking English and growing close to the citizens. To aid this, he uses his affinity for music to facilitate the fostering of relations.

Although on the exterior he showcases a bright aura he's still very at odds with his identity. Perhaps it is because he has transitioned into vampire time, but the past two years has felt like two days, and so he barely has a grasp on himself and his surroundings. Vehemently, Chris insists on finding a cure for vampirism so that he may return to his family and succumb to humanity's woes once again. He's extremely family oriented, so being sequestered from such is difficult, on top of not being able to procreate a family of his own in the future.

despite appearing very sweet and unknowing, he is an incredible flirt. but you were deceived, or so you felt. you felt you were growing a genuine connection but to him (whether it be because of cultural differences or something else) it was just playing around. the resolution to this would be a friendship after you talk it out, or something else if you prefer

he has no clue what he's doing in halloweentown, or where to go, or who to talk to. but you help him.....sorta. you help him get adjusted by well, using your bodies. comforting him through the language that is universal. love? ? who knows. all you know is that you sure do love his spanish when you're 'comforting' him, and he loves your reaction

odiando a uno mismo "hating oneself"
chris thinks he will always be at odds with his new identity as a vampire, he wants so badly to be human again, to return to his family. so he's searching for someone who knows how to do that. and you may have heard something, and promise to help him after hearing his story.
