Backstory: Despite born into a family of cops, Soeun somehow found her way into the world of gangs. She always held a fascination for weapons. The power that weapons held beckoned her. It wasnt long before she was consumed by her darker side and she found her path diverging from the ones that her parents had laid out for her.
When the two gangs had still not come into existence, Soeun was a part of it. She was a shadow, barely acknowledged by anyone. The darkness that had led her to walk the path of violence had made her stay in the darkness and no one really saw her. She was the underdog and with Yifan and Mint being the central figures of their gang world, she was always hidden in the shadows.
And one day she saw the light, the light to come out of the shadows and show her real strength. It was when the unity of gang had started to crack and the inevitable divide was starting to rear its ugly head. It was her chance. With Yifan's changing thoughts and his wish to head the gang, Soeun took it as a chance and approached him swearing her allegiance to him. It was her time to shine.
She had grabbed the opportunity and when the gang indeed split into two, she sided with the one she had already sworn her allegiance to. Despite taking Yifan's side to emerge from the shadows, she was loyal. She trusted him with everything and could lay down her life for him. Having come from a family of cops, who had no clue as to her affiliation with the gang world, she had an added advantage. She would find out the plans against her gang and notify Yifan. They would safely walk past the police. Being the secretive person that she was, no one except Yifan knew about her parents being on the other side of the team.
She trusted her leader. She was his right hand and he trusted her. It was a mutual trust in each other that made things easier for them. But at times, she would find herself in doubt. Aware of the history between Yifan and the rival gang leader Mint, she was afraid that someday they would get back together and she would have to go back into the shadows.It had taken a lot of effort and hardwork to get to where she was. She was under constant fear of being rejected and replaced if someday the gangs came together as one.
She would wonder where would her loyalty be at that time. Would she still remain loyal to Yifan? She didnt see any other way.
