Section oo1 : history / about
Growing up in the slums of south korea awakened suji to the harsh relaties of life.
from a young age, she experienced financial hardships and was dragged into the inescapable downward spiral of struggle, along with her sister Joohyun. This taught her the value of money. The Heightning financial turmoil pushed her father over the edge, so he packed what few belongings he could and fled; leaving suji to battle with confusion, anger, and pain. This made suji question love, and taught her that it's unecessary in order to succeed. Her mother didn't have much expectations for her, but always pushed her and her sister to excel in school; convincing them it was their only escape from the lamentable lives they lived. Suji quickly developed a drive for success and an unwavering ambition to accomplish her goals. She loved to be involved in school clubs, especially as a leader. She found comfort in work, and being busy served as a distraction from the real world.
During her sophomore year of high school, Suji made friends with someone who would later turn her entire world around. She was introduced to a crowd of well meaning, yet reckless kids. They loved to experiment and take risks; one of them being drugs. Suji caved into the pressure of fitting in — and Slowly she developed a dependence for . No one in her life was aware of her addiction, she was adamant in hiding it. It was her gravest mistake — the only one she was deeply ashamed of. She spent inumerable sleepless nights engulfed by the shame and mortifying guilt. It was difficult for her to manage the urges on her own, but she was relentless in reaching sobriety. Although she's reduced her reliance on the drug, she has yet to break free from it.
