History / about

music flows through her veins and compositions are built into her bones. rumor has it, chaeyoung's first cry when she was born was in the key of c major. music was her passion and her passion was her music. chae's melodious voice was the first instrument she mastered. she sang like a bird at the young age of 7. then came the typical recorder in 3rd grade, the piano in 6th and finally the guitar: one she took upon herself to learn as a little hobby. 

the casual stream of lead roles in musicals, solos in choir concerts, and the constant praise from her parents didn't help diminish the slow but steady ego that was building inside of the park family's beloved princess. you could say she was spoiled but she never let it get to her head...well almost never. chaeyoung knows that her voice could heal any broken heart and adores the spotlight but she's also not one too boast about her fame and fortune.

speaking of fame, once the singer-songwriter enrolled in ikigai, she created her very own youtube account to upload all of her original songs and covers. two years strong, the account now has over 600K subscribers. not too shabby huh

first day of freshmen year, chae heard what was probably the most mesmerizing voice through the halls. was it coming from a room? the vents? the melodious song had ended before the girl had a chance to find out who the voice belonged to. but she did know one thing - she was in love. but like all of her thoughts, chae forgot about the voice in the halls. now a sophomore, the singer strolls through the campus with her guitar slung over her shoulder when she sees hears you. you're just another stranger in the crowd, but your the familiar tone of your voice says that we've met before. could you be the voice in the halls?
