Zootopia wasn't originally Minghao's home, as the boy had grown up on the streets, only making it through college because of some not so very safe for work methods, but he's always been a dreamer. It's what drew him to the city after his career as a dancer skyrocketed. By day he was being chased by paparazzi while at night he flew under the cover of the stage name The8 at the local nightclub.

Dancing was his passion, and so what if being a go-go dancer was his go to for nightly activities. It kept his pleasant persona going for the cameras while he could release his inner devil at night. Covered in glitter and so much makeup, it was hard to recognize the popular face among the neon lights of the club.

He may be the smallest of the big cats, but that doesn't mean he hasn't learned survival instincts. He caught on really quickly as a kid that you can't get anywhere in life without knowing how to protect yourself. Sure, he wears a collar amongst the population of Zootopia, but he knows at the end of the day, if he has to defend himself, he will. Of course, he has no concerns over the prey causing a stir, but there were still animals much bigger than himself that he was weary of.

A tragic past he has yet to reveal to anyone continues to haunt him in the wee hours of the night, paranoia lingering in his posture the moment he finds himself alone. Even if he's alone in his own apartment. Nights are spent in fitful sleep, begging for the morning sun to shed mercy on him.
