Jeon doyum remembers nothing but the spotlight. ever since he was only a year old, he's been an actor, consistently playing younger versions of the older actors or just roles as the family's kid. although he started off his career acting, he found his passion on the day of the annual awards ceremony. an idol group were performing as a congratulations stage, and doyum was enamoured.  the sharpness of their moves, how pretty and stable their voices were.. doyum was set on becoming like that. luckily for him, his parents supported him because they loved having a source of money that they didn't have to work much for, so they grabbed an opportunity to debut doyum as an idol at only 7, in some idol group that was kind of meant to be an interesting spectacle for everyone to be like "that exists" and say wow, before leaving it alone. they disbanded quite quickly, which was fine for doyum - he wasn't really expecting forever with this group, but he was happy at what they had done. just the fact that he could perform at the time was mindblowing and happy for him. of course, that changed with time.. as he got older, he would see comments about he wasn't a great actor and how it was unbelievable that he got casted a lot-- that, paired with his parents new choice of company, which was very harsh and loved to scold him for the same thing.. doyum lost his childlike innocence that was okay with just being able to do something. at first, he just aimed to be better than he currently was. but after time, it turned into an obsession, and obsession with being perfect. his acting had to be perfect or he was useless. his performances had to be perfect or he was useless. he had to be doing at least somewhat good in school or he was useless. that was the mindset doyum had adopted after being scolded on so many different things by so many different people for years on end, ever since he was just a little kid. sleep became almost a myth to the boy, as he'd stay up for nights rehearsing his lines, finishing his homework to the best of his ability, and dancing until the dance was engraved in his mind. it would be impossible to deny that doyum didn't already have a lot of talent up to that point, considering just how long he's been polishing his skills.. but after his change in work ethic, doyum became someone that even the older hyungs couldn't really keep up with. he was praised by some people, like a few of the trainers or his fellow trainees - but he never really got recognition from where it matters most - the public, his ceo, and his parents. and he understands why. at least in his eyes, the other people are just being kind to him and lying through their teeth because they know and see doyum around everyday-- but doyum himself, he knows he isn't that great, isn't perfect. and he won't stop at anything to reach perfection, to be someone that people can think of as the ultimate idol. With time and the beginning of a burnout, doyum started to feel as if he just wanted a day off to rest from time to time, that something about this was forceful and he wanted to pause it-- but despite that, the motive is just drilled into him, and in some areas, his self-image has been so ruined that it's definitely not going back to normal.. at least with the boy being alone and nobody knowing about his inner thoughts.

Jeon Doyum tries his best to be as bright and kind as possible. he wants to be seen as a kind and cute person with a gold heart, so he tries his best to stay kind and nice to everyone. he's very controlled in that sense. he won't let bad thoughts get outside of his head, and will almost always play innocent. of course, sometimes things get out of him because he's still just a trainee and has yet to perfect his controlled and snapshot of an image, and they tend to get out more when he's very stressed due to certain, recent events. when he breaks down and nothing changes, that's when the phase becomes something harder for doyum to break out of. although he tries- he'll only change at the red light of a camera and then go back to the same, damaged state off stage. when it comes to his offstage and persona when he's at the company, it's different. he can be filled with aegyo sometimes, but when they are actually practicing.. doyum is like another trainer for all of his hyungs. he's strict, very honest, direct and doesn't take fooling off well, preferring to keep them all on track - because even if he isn't perfect, sometimes doyum finds himself baffled at how.. uninterested and bad some of the other trainees are at their routines. he'll be the first to yell at others if the scenario calls for it, in a manner that may be uncalled and extremely harsh in other eyes, but his hyungs usually excuse him for it because even they can realize how much of a perfectionist doyum is- and he's always nice with them outside of practice. because when it doesn't relate to any of his fields of work.. doyum tries his best to be like said earlier, kind and bright. there's another hidden side of doyum too, but well. hidden is hidden for a reason. it comes out more often than his regular side recently though, doyum can't keep up the act flawlessly anymore.
