► how did the house fire happen? well, he was crying, and his first instance of a power surge just decided to happen while he was unhappy. boom: flames, destruction, death.

► first it started with lighters on small objects. as he realized his power, he started setting bigger things on fire, too.

► headmaster explained it all, and of course there was no way he was going to get out of having to go to hero school.

► alright, so he's been at new heroes academy since he was 13. why hasn't he graduated?

► he could never really control his outbursts, especially when he was emotional.

► because of his susceptibility to becoming evil (aka a villain) and his inability to properly handle his emotions, he has not graduated and will not be considered for graduation until that stuff changes.
