Somin hadn't always been blind. She got into a lot of mischief as a kid, in and out of juvie as well as the foster system. The closest thing to home for her was the streets. She stole to keep herself alive, and well, it really wasn't surprising when she developed the abilities similar to a cat. Her powers helped her get out of many troublesome situations and made her greed for money grow even more.

It wasn't until she turned sixteen that she didn't get so lucky. Really, it was a freak accident, and she had thought maybe karma was catching up with her as she skirted around a corner evading the police only to have acid splashing into her eyes from a nearby chemical spill. The pain had been excruciating, and she barely managed to get away to the safety of a church where she spent the next couple years of her life learning to live with her new disability. It was then that another power developed, power negation. If she focused hard enough, she could eliminate any power threat that came to her. Now, that didn't stop someone from physically injuring her, but at least she wouldn't be blindsided by something superhuman.

The time spent in the church was enough to show Somin that she hadn't been using her gifts for the right purposes. A change in her lifestyle was necessary to become a better person and actually help the people around her rather than steal their treasures. That's what led her to the academy where she spent a few years as a student before becoming a teacher herself. She hopes that by being in charge of disciplinary action at the academy she'll be able to steer students in the right direction rather than the path she went down.

Somin is a woman who is defined by pride and temptation. Being a previous high-profile burglar, she is skilled in espionage, so she is able to keep herself from being known. She also has a high interest for jewelry, particularly that of high value and rarity. She is displayed as the embodiment of attraction and a pinnacle of dominating superiority, specifically over men. She isn't afraid to make suggestive comments and frequently flirts with heroes and sidekicks alike on numerous occasions. She also seems to be aware of her appearance and sometimes makes use of it. She seems to hold little regard in wanting to kill, let alone wanting to care for another life, but this doesn't mean she is without morals. Under some situations, she can, yet sometimes reluctantly, aid others in their endeavors. She is incredibly stubborn and often uses the "Nine lives, remember?" line as a means of doing what she wants, no matter how dangerous it is. She is very daring to take risks, showing signs of fearlessness.

Somin likes to watch people squirm, she pushes buttons until she gets the reactions she wants, and she relies on sounds of discomfort to give herself joy. She loves the feeling of the wind coursing through her hair after the morning jump off a tall building, testing her dexterity and response systems while her senses build the pictures of her surroundings in her mind.

Wasting time on things she deems unimportant, pointless conversations, rambling, people that underestimate her for her blindness, not being able to see (but what can you do), when people move the furniture just the tiniest bit, dogs.

Playing tricks on her students by stealing their prized possessions and using them as a means of motivation to complete intense obstacle courses, sharpening her claws, practicing with her whip, making blind jokes, asserting her dominance over the patriarchy.

Cats certainly don't reveal their secrets, and this one has many. Perhaps if you get close enough to you, she'll reveal them to you.

Losing her nine lives, losing another of her senses, losing all her wealth, dogs, storms.

She likes to sharpen her claws on anything and everything, often ruining furniture if her frustration runs rampant, often leaves fish bones just laying around, is incredibly blunt, doesn't watch what she says, doesn't care if she hurts feelings.

Material wealth as a whole, but she does wish to help students hone their powers properly for the greater good rather than go through what she went through. She desires a life of comfort and stability where she's the one with the power to wreck it if she chooses.
