Her Story.
In the past, Kim Taeyeon was born in March 9, she lived in Racoon City with her brother named Kim Taeoh, a S.T.A.R.S soldier. Their parents went to Japan to work on a new bio weapons located in Osaka, the two siblings live together within the city while minding their own work. In her account, Taeyeon's name changed to Gretel Kim as her English name as she was born an asian descent. She worked as an assistant of the Chief Police in the Racoon Police Department, known as RPD. She was taught by her brother how to use guns and when to use it, but she is afraid to hurt someone.
 
When the outbreak began, Taeyeon was assigned to stay inside the RPD headquarters with the most of the police officers and few of the STARS soldiers. They had waited their orders to prepare from the head but he is too busy tracking down the G-Virus until the infected came to the headquarters, the officers had panic of what to do and became one of the infected later on. Taeyeon on the other hand, runs with the other surviving officers, with a slight fatigue and weak immune system, some officers always carried her to the safer areas before moving on.
 
Eventually, Taeyeon and another police officer were the only ones survived inside the headquarter. She blamed herself for not saving a single soul with them and cries, she was so afraid to die. But the officer encouraged her to stay strong and she did, hoping that they will get through this. Once they decided to get out of the headquarters, Taeyeon and the other officer encountered the monster they called G. The had no match with its bulky and huge arm, they escaped from it but Taeyeon never escaped from the G's infectious glands as she was bitten in her arm.
 
She experienced high fever and aching body as if something is wrong inside her, it was a good thing she had someone to take care of her and found an anti-viral agent for her and it cured her. The helicopter came back and picked them up and flew to the safe place called The Sanctuary.
 
Over time, Taeyeon's immune system became stronger and her physical traits changed as well. This is due of the virus concentrated and adapted her body, making her invulnerable from dying or bleed out and gave her a strength as a normal man do as the G-virus was once called the God virus because it could bring someone back to life. Until then, Taeyeon overcome death and now became one of the RPD Officer. Her brother trained her in combat after the outbreak and as soon as she recovered from the hospital, her brother noticed that she has changed after that. The once innocent and fearful sister became a warrior with stone heart.
 
Because of the ongoing news about the G-Virus, some people thought it was her since they only call her "Gretel" because of her name. She was one of the few survivors from the outbreak.
